All aspects of cable production - every process - is carefully controlled since van den Hul has always understood that the way in which a cable is handled during the manufacturing process is paramount to cable performance both in the short term and over time. Van den Hul pioneers advanced metallurgy and nonmetal conductive carbon technologies. It has introduced several fusion materials - the latest of which is called 3T. Many cables are interesting hybrid designs that incorporate Linear Structured Carbon in combination with pure metals and fusion alloys. Van den Hul is one of the few cable companies in the world that addresses cable longevity and environmental issues - both contaminants that exist during manufacture and when operational in-situ. These contaminants significantly degrade cable performance. Regular PVC and other common cable materials introduce harmful toxins into the environment when eventually disposed of through incineration.

Kemela uses the new 3T series cables to connect reference level components because of the outstanding sonic performances in several key areas that other cable manufacturers do not have the expertise or manufacturing ability to address. Many high end cables simply trade off one strength for another so the end result remains a compromise. With van den Hul, capability and performance simply increases as the materials and construction become more elaborate always based on sound science and reliable manufacture. Van den Hul believes that the signal distortion that occurs across metal grain boundaries is largely responsible for the hard edgy ear numbing lower treble energy - that makes pianos sound hard, violins screechy, and massed choir crescendo and soprano "break up". You no longer have to choose between resolution with listening fatigue, or an airless, ambient-less, rolled off, reduced timbral spectrum, bland sound. Van den Hul cables have natural timbres and dynamics with virtually zero time smear for accurate pace and timing. Bass is deep and well defined. Van den Hul 3T cables are simply some of the most natural sounding cables available.

Van den Hul products command premium pricing but this is offset by the availability of interconnects in more useful lengths; 0.8m, 1.0m, 1.2m, 1.5m and up, and particularly by the fact that performance is maintained for a very long longer period of time compared to other cables which deteriorate and become harsh and bland sounding. The terminations are excellent and engineered to last with easy conversion between spades and bananas.
